Enrique Jordá
Enrique Jordá was a Spanish orchestral conductor born in San Sebastián in 1911 who began his conducting career in the 1930s and worked primarily in the classical symphonic repertoire. He served as music director of the San Francisco Symphony from 1954 to 1963, and his repertoire emphasised Romantic and early 20th-century works while reflecting both European training and American orchestral contexts.
