Wagner Tiso is a Brazilian pianist, composer and arranger from Três Pontas, Minas Gerais, who began his career in the 1960s and is associated with MPB, instrumental music, jazz and progressive rock-influenced projects. His work blends Brazilian rhythms with jazz, classical and electronic elements, evolving from ensemble-based psychedelic and progressive experiments in the late 1960s and 1970s to orchestral arranging, film and theatre scoring and instrumental recordings that contributed to the musical development of the Minas Gerais scene.
