Maija Einfelde

Maija Einfelde is a Latvian composer who began composing in the late 20th century and is primarily associated with choral, vocal and chamber works within the contemporary classical tradition. Her music is characterised by meditative melodic lines, modal and tonal harmonic language and often sparse, contemplative textures, and she has contributed to the repertoire of Latvian choral and contemporary music.
