Shin-ichiro Ikebe

Shin'ichirō Ikebe is a Japanese composer born in 1943 who trained at the Tokyo University of the Arts and began composing professionally in the late 1960s, working across contemporary classical music and film scoring. His output spans orchestral, chamber, choral and film music, combining modernist techniques with lyrical and theatrical elements and forming a notable strand in the development of postwar Japanese contemporary music.
