Віктор Косенко was a Ukrainian composer, pianist and educator born in Saint Petersburg in 1896 who began his career in the early 20th century and worked primarily within the classical tradition. His music combines late-Romantic harmonic language and pianistic lyricism with Ukrainian folk elements across solo piano miniatures, chamber works and songs, and he was active as a teacher and organiser of musical life in interwar Ukraine.
