The Higher Intelligence Agency are an electronic music project from Birmingham, England, formed in the early 1990s and associated with ambient techno, IDM and experimental electronic music. Their output blends ambient textures, dub-influenced rhythms and improvisational approaches, evolving from studio releases into immersive live and multimedia performances that placed them within the UK's 1990s electronic and chill-out scenes.
