George Lloyd

George Lloyd was a British composer whose career began in the 1930s and who worked primarily in orchestral, operatic and film music. His musical style combined late-Romantic orchestration and strong melodic writing within tonal frameworks, and over his career he produced symphonies, concertos, operas and stage works that reflect the currents of British classical music through and after the Second World War.
