American Symphony Orchestra

The American Symphony Orchestra is a New York-based symphony orchestra formed in 1962 that performs classical repertoire. Its repertoire and programmes have included standard works, neglected orchestral pieces and contemporary American compositions, and it has presented themed concert series engaging with social and cultural contexts.
