Eugen Suchoň
Eugen Suchoň was a Slovak composer born in Pezinok in 1908 who began his career in the interwar period and worked primarily in 20th-century classical genres, composing operas, choral works, orchestral pieces and chamber music. His music blends Slovak folk elements with modernist techniques, evolving from late-Romantic idioms to incorporate modal and dodecaphonic influences and playing a role in the formation of a distinct national Slovak musical language.
