Reinhard Keiser

Reinhard Keiser was a German Baroque composer and impresario active from the late 17th century who established his career in Hamburg as an opera composer. He composed a substantial body of operas and sacred works that blended Italianate operatic forms with German choral and instrumental traditions, contributing to the development of German opera in the early 18th century.
