Musique de la Garde républicaine is the official musical ensemble of the Garde républicaine, a unit of the French National Gendarmerie based in Paris that traces its origins to nineteenth-century military band traditions. As a military and ceremonial band, its style and repertoire encompass marches, wind-band and orchestral arrangements of classical and contemporary works, and it performs at state ceremonies, public concerts and official events while preserving French military music traditions.
