YOSHIKI is a Japanese musician and composer who began his career in the early 1980s, forming the band X Japan and later pursuing solo and collaborative projects spanning rock and classical music. Classically trained as a pianist and also known for his drumming, he combines heavy metal, symphonic arrangements and piano-led balladry and later expanded into orchestral composition and film scoring, contributing to the visual kei movement and international collaborations.
