Buck Clayton and His All-Stars were an American jazz ensemble formed in the early 1950s by trumpeter Buck Clayton, rooted in the swing and big-band traditions. Their music combined swinging small-group arrangements and extended improvisation drawing on Kansas City and big-band idioms, and the ensemble contributed to mid-century efforts to preserve and reinterpret classic swing repertoire within post-war mainstream jazz.
