Whit Dickey
Whit Dickey is an American jazz drummer who emerged on the New York free and avant-garde jazz scene in the late 1980s and has worked as both a sideman and bandleader. His playing emphasises texture, colour and dynamic interplay, and across recordings and live ensembles he has pursued open improvisation and experimental small-group formats within contemporary improvised music.
