Franz Xaver Biebl

Franz Xaver Biebl was a German choral composer and church musician who began his career in the mid-20th century composing and arranging sacred and secular works for mixed and male choirs. His music combines traditional liturgical text-setting with modal-influenced harmonies and contrapuntal techniques, and several of his motets have entered the standard choral repertoire.
