Wanda Wiłkomirska
Wanda Wiłkomirska was a Polish classical violinist born in Warsaw in 1929 who studied at the Warsaw Conservatory and began an international solo career in the post-war period. Her repertoire spanned Baroque to contemporary works; she championed Polish composers and promoted contemporary repertoire, helping to bring Polish classical music to international audiences.
