Mulgrew Miller
Mulgrew Miller was an American jazz pianist born in Greenwood, Mississippi and raised in Seattle who emerged on the professional jazz scene in the late 1970s and established himself in New York during the 1980s. His playing blended bebop-influenced improvisation, post-bop harmony and a strong rhythmic sense, and he worked extensively in small-group settings while holding teaching roles that contributed to the continuation of mainstream jazz piano practice.
