Smokey Robinson

Smokey Robinson is an American singer-songwriter and record producer from Detroit, Michigan, who began his career in the mid-1950s with vocal group work and became closely associated with soul and Motown music. His songwriting and vocal style blended doo-wop, rhythm and blues and pop-soul, and over subsequent decades he continued to write and perform while influencing the repertoire and arrangements that characterised the Motown sound.
