Henri René & His Orchestra were a studio orchestra formed by German-born conductor Henri René and based in the United States, active from the 1940s through the 1960s and associated with orchestral pop, easy listening and lounge music. Their recordings featured lush string and brass arrangements of popular tunes and themed instrumental albums that aligned with mid-20th-century mood music and the emerging space-age pop and exotica trends, serving a role in radio, background music and stereo demonstration recordings.
