Antonio Sánchez is a Mexican jazz drummer and composer from Mexico City who trained in Mexico and the United States and began his professional career in the 1990s within the modern jazz scene. His style combines intricate polyrhythms and extended improvisation with compositional approaches, and he expanded into film composition, notably creating the percussive soundtrack for the 2014 film Birdman.
