Franco Alfano

Franco Alfano was an Italian composer and pianist born in 1875 in Posillipo, Naples, who began his career in the early 20th century writing operas, orchestral and chamber music. His style blended late-Romantic harmonies with verismo operatic elements, and his later career encompassed composition, music education and completing the final act of Puccini's Turandot after Puccini's death.
