Franz Xaver Wolfgang Mozart was an Austrian composer and pianist born in Vienna in 1791 who began a career as a performer and teacher within the late Classical and emerging Romantic traditions. His works and teaching bridged Classical forms and early Romantic sensibilities, producing piano pieces, chamber music and songs that reflect late-classical idioms adapted for 19th-century salon and pedagogical contexts while he spent much of his professional life in central European cultural centres, including Lviv.
