Roberto Abbado
Roberto Abbado is an Italian conductor from Milan who began his professional career in the 1970s and is principally associated with opera and symphonic repertoire. He has specialised in the Italian operatic tradition and 19th- and 20th-century orchestral works, and has conducted contemporary pieces in international opera houses and concert halls.
