Jack Brymer was an English classical clarinettist who began his professional career in the 1940s and became a prominent orchestral and chamber musician in Britain. Associated primarily with orchestral and chamber repertoire, his playing emphasised a warm, rounded tone and communicative phrasing, and he later wrote and taught on clarinet technique and performance practice, influencing mid-20th-century British clarinet traditions.
