Mars Williams

Mars Williams is an American saxophonist from Elmhurst, Illinois, who emerged from the Chicago music scene in the late 1970s and has worked across jazz and rock genres. His style encompasses free jazz and avant-garde improvisation while also incorporating elements of funk, rock and acid jazz, and his career includes experimental solo projects, ensemble leadership and collaborations that connected underground jazz with alternative music scenes.
