William Primrose
William Primrose was a Scottish classical violist from Glasgow who began his professional career in the early 20th century. Specialised in solo and chamber repertoire, he championed transcriptions and new works for the viola and contributed to viola pedagogy through teaching and published studies, helping to expand the instrument's role within classical music.
