Ruth Welting

Ruth Welting was an American operatic lyric coloratura soprano who began her professional career in the 1970s and became active on the international opera circuit, specialising in Mozart and the bel canto repertoire. Her repertoire emphasised roles by Rossini, Donizetti and Mozart and was characterised by agile high-register technique and precise ornamentation, with performances and studio recordings across North American and European opera houses.
