Nelson Riddle
Nelson Riddle was an American arranger, composer and bandleader from Oradell, New Jersey, who began his professional career in the 1930s and worked primarily in big band, pop and jazz arranging. His musical style combined lush orchestral textures with jazz-influenced harmonies and inventive voicings, and he later expanded into film and television scoring, helping to shape the sound of mid-20th-century American popular music and broadcasting.
