Michael Prophet

Michael Prophet was a Jamaican reggae singer from Kingston who began recording in the late 1970s and worked primarily within roots reggae and lovers rock contexts. He sang in a deep, plaintive baritone and often addressed spiritual and social themes, with recordings that incorporated dub production and found audiences in both Jamaica and the UK.
