Café Zimmermann

Café Zimmermann are a Paris-based ensemble formed in the late 1990s specialising in Baroque and early music performed on period instruments. Named after the Leipzig coffeehouse associated with 18th-century musical life, they focus on historically informed performances of chamber and sacred repertoire by Bach and his contemporaries, exploring continuo practice and ensemble textures in both instrumental and vocal works.
