Amanda Maier

Amanda Maier was a Swedish violinist and composer born in 1853 who trained at the Stockholm Conservatory and in Leipzig and began her career as a concert performer and composer within the late-Romantic classical tradition. Her oeuvre centred on chamber music, violin works and songs that employ late-Romantic melodic and harmonic language, and periods spent working on the continent influenced the development and dissemination of her compositions.
