Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens
Jacques-Nicolas Lemmens was a Belgian organist, composer and pedagogue born in Hoboken (near Antwerp) in 1823 who began his career in the mid-19th century and was chiefly associated with organ and sacred music. He promoted historical organ repertoire, developed a systematic approach to organ technique through published methods, and influenced organ teaching and the design of instruments in Belgium and the Netherlands.
