Francesco Landini
Francesco Landini was an Italian composer, singer and instrumentalist active in Florence during the 14th century, associated with the Italian Trecento and particularly with the secular ballata. His surviving works, largely secular ballate, display melodic lyricism, modal harmony and contrapuntal techniques often arranged for voice and organetto, reflecting the musical tastes and practices of late medieval Italy.
