David Amram

David Amram is an American composer, conductor and multi-instrumentalist from Philadelphia who began his career in the 1950s working across jazz, classical and folk contexts. Known for blending jazz improvisation with classical forms and incorporating folk and world-music elements, his work spans film and theatre scores, concert compositions and collaborations with poets and writers associated with the Beat movement.
