Rolando Villazón is a Mexican operatic tenor from Mexico City who began his professional career in the late 1990s and is associated primarily with the lyric tenor repertoire in opera. His repertoire has emphasised bel canto and romantic roles, and in later years he has broadened his activities into recordings, presenting and occasional stage projects, helping to bring operatic repertoire to wider audiences.
