Roger Miller

Roger Miller was an American country singer-songwriter from Fort Worth, Texas, who began his career in the 1950s as a songwriter and session musician before establishing himself as a recording artist in Nashville in the early 1960s. Known for his witty, often surreal lyrics and playful phrasing, his music blended country, folk and pop influences and frequently employed novelty elements, scat singing and inventive wordplay across both songwriting and performance.
