Daryl Hall & John Oates are an American musical duo from Philadelphia, formed in 1970 and drawing on rock, soul, pop and R&B traditions. Their sound blends blue-eyed soul and pop-rock, evolving through the 1970s and 1980s toward polished studio production, strong melodic hooks and synthesiser textures that helped bring soul-influenced pop into mainstream American radio.
