Carl Gottlieb Reißiger
Carl Gottlieb Reißiger was a German composer and conductor of the 19th century who established his career in Dresden, working primarily in opera, orchestral and sacred music. His music blended Classical forms with early Romantic melodic and harmonic traits, and he composed operas, symphonies, chamber works and liturgical pieces that figured in the musical institutions and public life of his era.
