Henryk Czyż

Henryk Czyż was a Polish conductor, composer and educator born in Grudziądz in 1923 who began his musical career in the mid-20th century and worked principally in the classical and contemporary classical genres. He championed contemporary Polish composers and adopted a conducting approach that foregrounded clarity of texture and attention to modernist techniques across orchestral and operatic repertoire.
