Nicolas Chédeville

Nicolas Chédeville was a French Baroque composer and musette player born in 1705 who worked in Paris during the 18th century, composing primarily for musette, hurdy-gurdy and other pastoral instruments. His music draws on pastoral and dance forms of the French Baroque, producing suites, concertos and arrangements that reflect the taste for rustic colour among aristocratic circles and contribute to the repertoire for small rural instruments.
