Hans Abrahamsen

Hans Abrahamsen is a Danish composer born in Vejle in 1952 who began composing in the 1970s and is associated with contemporary classical music. His early works follow a modernist and sometimes experimental idiom, and later he adopted a spare, detailed chamber and orchestral language that favours quiet textures and precise attention to timbre.
