Spirit

Spirit are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1967, initially associated with the late‑1960s psychedelic scene and drawing on progressive rock, jazz and folk influences. They blended psychedelic and folk songwriting with jazz‑influenced improvisation and studio experimentation, later incorporating elements of jazz fusion and harder rock while undergoing frequent lineup changes and intermittent activity across subsequent decades.
