Paul Steinitz

Paul Steinitz was an English conductor and organist who founded the London Bach Society in 1946 and built a career from the mid-20th century devoted to Baroque choral repertoire. He specialised in performances of Johann Sebastian Bach and promoted historically informed approaches to choral and liturgical works, overseeing regular concert cycles and educational activities that influenced post-war British choral practice.
