Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer

Unico Wilhelm van Wassenaer (1692–1766) was a Dutch nobleman, diplomat and amateur composer from the Dutch Republic who was active in the early 18th century and worked in Baroque chamber and orchestral genres. His music, particularly a set of concertos for small orchestra that was published anonymously and long misattributed to another composer, combines late Baroque contrapuntal techniques with galant melodic tendencies and has been reconsidered in studies of Dutch musical culture.
