Jacques Castérède

Jacques Castérède was a French composer and pianist born in Paris in 1926 who trained at the Conservatoire de Paris and began his career in the mid-20th century composing for orchestra, chamber ensembles and piano. His music combines neo-classical forms, lyrical melodies and rhythmic clarity, and over his career he produced a substantial body of orchestral, chamber, piano and vocal works that contributed to the late 20th-century French classical repertoire.
