Heinrich Isaac
Heinrich Isaac was a Netherlandish composer of the Renaissance, born in the Low Countries around 1450, whose career took him to Italian and central European courts and churches. Working in the Franco-Flemish polyphonic tradition, he composed masses, motets and secular songs that blended contrapuntal technique with clear melodic lines and helped transmit northern polyphony into Italian and imperial musical contexts.
