Wolfgang Schulz

Wolfgang Schulz was an Austrian classical flautist from Vienna who began his professional career in the 1960s and served for many years as principal flautist of the Vienna Philharmonic. His musical approach combined lyrical phrasing with a wide repertoire across orchestral, chamber and solo works, and his career also included teaching and the promotion of contemporary compositions within the Viennese classical tradition.
