Gilad Atzmon

Gilad Atzmon is an Israeli-born British jazz saxophonist, composer and writer who began his career in Israel before relocating to the United Kingdom and working primarily in contemporary jazz and world music. His music blends jazz improvisation with Middle Eastern, klezmer and Mediterranean influences, and his parallel career as a political writer and commentator on Jewish identity and Israeli politics has generated public debate and attracted criticism.
