Ingebrigt Håker Flaten is a Norwegian double bassist from Oppdal who began his career in the early 1990s and has performed internationally across jazz, free improvisation and experimental music scenes. Working in both Scandinavian and North American improvised-music communities, he moves between acoustic double bass and electric bass, employing extended techniques and high-energy ensemble interplay that have characterised his work within free-jazz and avant-garde projects.
