Jon Brion is an American musician, singer-songwriter, composer and record producer from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, who began his career in the late 1980s and became active in the alternative and pop music scenes. His work blends pop and rock songcraft with chamber-pop and orchestral elements, and over the course of his career he moved from producing albums for indie and singer-songwriter artists into composing film scores and creating densely arranged studio projects.
